Comprehensive Financial Planning Designed for the Unique Phases of Life

FINANCIAL PLANNING CAN BE COMPLEX.
UNDERSTANDING WHAT YOU’RE PAYING FOR SHOULDN’T BE.

Transparency is at the heart of everything we do at Simply Retire. Pricing shouldn’t be any different: Our purpose is to simplify planning, and that starts with having clarity about what to expect along the way.

When we started Simply Retire our focus was helping those within 5 years of retirement feel empowered to make choices that allowed them to stay retired. Typically our clients have confidence and clarity about where their income would come, how long their money would last, how they would pay for healthcare and Long Term Care, how to manage taxes and more.

There are a lot of moving parts when it comes to retirement, and we recognize that the vast majority of people we work with really aren’t taught how to set themselves up for success from an early age. Our goal in everything we do is to continue to strive to better client outcomes.

Realization struck: what if we didn’t rely on the media and education institutions to educate our clients: What is we just started them early? How much better positioned for success would the typical person who comes to us for help be had they been working with us for the 20 or 30 years leading up to retirement?

Start with the end in mind. Simple.

The Simply Grow Plan started with an idea...Comprehensive planning shouldn't be limited to the high net worth investor, it shouldn't be one size fits all, and it should put the client's needs above the interests of the firm, always. Sounds simple, right?

Gen X, Millenial, Gen Z and beyond - This plan was created for you. We weren't taught this stuff in school, but we do know that the Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell...

Simply Grow started with a simple question: "What if we could train our ideal Simply Retire clients 20, 30+ years before they came for us to learn how to retire?"

The tools and strategies of generations past aren't enough to manage the changing economic, capital and political environment we were born into and are inheriting. That's not meant to cause despair, rather simply a reminder that as times change, strategies tools and ideas are allowed to change with them. Did you know the 401k was established in 1978? That might sound like a long time ago, but the transition from pensions is a relatively recent happening. While the mechanics are fairly simple:

Defer taxes and the tax calculation until you're 59 1/2 (in most cases) the process of distribution didn't really being until the late 90's early 2000's. You're living during the renaissance of financial planning - the beginning of the golden age of client centered advice...

The financial world is changing, you've got permission to change with it. The tools and strategies that got our parents to retirement, may not be the same ones that get us to and through retirement. (Bitcoin anyone?)

The reality is, we can't see the future, but we can help you make the right moves NOW so that you're well positioned for success when you want to go - "work optional"

We're going to guide you on the journey toward financial independence, help you avoid the pitfalls they forget to mention in school like:

  • Paying too much in taxes
  • Trying to time the market
  • Diversifying Asset Classes
  • Diversifying Asset Locations
  • How to "Get to the 0% Tax Bracket in Retirement"
  • The right way to manage debt (sorry Dave...)

If you're ready to stop stressing about getting your financial life in order, ready to look back in a year and think WOW... I did that? Ready to not beat yourself up about a pour over coffee and avocado toast at brunch because you've actually got a plan - let's see if we'd be a good fit - No Pressure, just a friendly guide and a good conversation. Book a Complimentary Consultation.

P.s. If we aren't a good fit - that's OK, no hard feelings, we'll help you find someone who is, for free.

Our Flagship Plan: Simply Retire.

Our focus is helping those within 5 years of retirement ensure they could do it right the first time. If you're paying attention, you've got concerns about:

  • Healthcare
  • Taxes
  • Long Term Care
  • Social Security decisions
  • Running Out of Money
  • Risk
  • Your Legacy

Not to making sure your assets go to the people and places you want them to…

These should be important to everyone, yet they really come into focus when you’re staring down the tunnel of 30-40+ years of “unemployment” -  and you’re not sure if the light at the end is a train or the retirement you’ve always dreamed of.

Sure, the markets have been great - 13+ year bull run, what could go wrong?

The financial crisis seems like a lifetime ago – not to mention the tech bubble or Black Monday, but you were there for those, weren't you?

Maybe a more recent concern is inflation, (Remember Stagflation?)

Managing risk in a portfolio that is focused on accumulation is much different than a portfolio in a distribution phase, but you've probably got a sense of that too...

These are normal concerns. Your mind is transitioning into a retirement mindset, you're realizing there is a difference between the Accumulation phase of life, and the preservation and distribution phase of life, the latter we have come to call retirement, or the golden years.

Ready to make sure they're really golden?

You're probably aware that a LOT has changed since your parents retired (gold watch and pension, sound about right?) Maybe you have a pension or two... count it a blessing!

The truth is, the tools, ideas and strategies that got you to retirement, likely aren't the ones that you should use to make it through retirement.

Take the 4% rule - remember that one? Well... Maybe that was a bit optimistic...

What other assumptions do you have about retirement that might be outdated?

The best time to plan for retirement was 30 years ago, the next best time is today.

Book Your Complimentary Consultation and ensure that your Golden Years really are golden.

P.S.

We get it. Change is overrated and you've been with your guy for a while. We'll give you an honest assessment of your planning thus far. If we couldn't improve a thing - we'll tell you, and that feeling of wondering if you're really ready, those thoughts that might keep you up at night about "have we really saved enough?" or the "what if's" you'll have your answer. Even if we could help but wouldn't be a good fit - we'll tell you, and help you find the right one - for free. The only thing you've got to risk is a good conversation.

DIY? FIRE? Sophisticated investor with complex assets? Looking for a financial planning relationship without feeling "SOLD"?

We believe financial planning should be custom tailored to the individual. While we're confident most people will get the most benefit from our other plans, we've recognized that there is a significant gap in the industry - and we want to help.

Here's 150,000 reasons to have a financial planner you trust.

We're not saying that we're perfect, and that you wouldn't have caught that... but at a 1% AUM fee (on the lower side that we see - all in...) that's 10 years of financial planning for 1.5M in assets, or 3M for 5 years if you like.

You get it, there's a place for a second set of eyes on a well established plan.

Or maybe you want the peace of mind knowing you've got a Fiduciary on your team that's making sure something doesn't slip through the cracks.

Comprehensive, fee for service fiduciary financial planning with absolutely ZERO pressure (EVER) to hire us to manage assets.

This program has an extended engagement because we spend a LOT of time getting to know your unique goals and needs, and create a custom plan just for you. We do this for all of our clients, but typically ongoing clients are laying foundations and building systematically, so their tolerance for action and refinement is a bit slower.

This program has a little more pace, if you'd like.

We'll stress test, modify and refine your current plan, or create a new one from scratch and empower you to implement the plan yourself.

Candidly we enjoy these types of engagements because we usually find savings greater than our fee within the first week (not a guarantee by any means) and that's a wonderful feeling for everyone.

If you're looking for an objective partner whose only interest is helping you improve your plan, clarify your mission and live in a focused way - let's have a confidential conversation
